I think I will have the college experience that Kahlenberg identifies as the purpose of higher education. The first idea that Kahlengberg says: "To ensure that every student, no matter the wealth of her parents, has a chance to enjoy the American dream." The college that i go to helps anyone; it doesn't matter if they don't have enough money, they will figure it out for them. The second idea that he says: "To educate leaders in our democracy." The third idea that he has is: "To advance learning and knowledge through faculty research and by giving students the opportunity to broaden their minds." This is very important for higher education because if you advance the learning people will me more educated and willing to do what they want. The fourth idea he has: "to teach students to interact with people different than themselves." The fifth and final thing that he says: "To help students find a passion-and even a purpose in life."
