Nuclear Power Plant

My topic was on nuclear power plants in the United States. The reason why I chose this topic is because it's a serious issue that is going on all over the world. There have been a few issues with the nuclear power plants where they would shut down and radiation would leak out of the plant and into the air. Many people around the world was affected by this not just the people that were exposed it the radiation. The side that I took is that nuclear power plants are safe and starting to become more environmental safe.
When I was writing my paper I learned some many things about the nuclear power plants that I didn't know about. One of the things that I learned from writing this paper is how many of the power plants were shut down and affect the city or country they were in. In Russia, there was a problem with a nuclear power plant and the whole city had to evacuate because the levels of radiation was to high. I also learned that nuclear power plants are reliable, even though there was an incident in the United States, the people that are building the power plants says that what had happened before cannot happen today. The power plants can generate electricity 24/7 and the only time when the power plants is off is when it is being maintenance.
If I had more time with this topic, I would have researched more about the incidents and how they fixed it. I also would have watched the videos and the news reports about the incidents just to get an inside scope of how it looked and the damaging affects. I think that would have given my paper more of a inside view of what happened.
