When I am given a writing assignment for class, I usually determine what to write about by writing the first thing that pop into my head at that moment. But if the topic that I choose isn't interesting then I would choose something different. How I would do this is by thinking of something that I would interest me and the person that's reading my paper. When I have to choose what to write about, the first thing that pops into my head is what i want to do in the future.
The invention strategies that I use is the thinking process. For example, I would think about how the topic can interest me and the person that's reading it. Another strategy that i use is the wandering strategy because when I walk around or go to the store it can spark some ideas for what to write about. Also, a strategy that I  find useful is the experimenting strategy because when picking out a topic I have to find which one i can write the most about. The discussing strategy can help me by asking a friend if the topic that i choose in a good topic.
