College writing is completely different from other writings because in college we write to learn, to speak what's on our minds, and to take responsibility in our future situations. College writing can go more in depth with things that other writings couldn't. For example, when I was in high school, we wrote for informational purposes. Like, writing a paper about what we read and how does it pertain to real life situations. In college, I think we write to learn from our writing, or for future purposes, or to express how we feel. Overall, we write in college for three reasons: to learn, to participate, and to express yourself.
Writing will contribute to my college learning by teaching me to write in new and different situations. When I was in high school, we rarely wrote papers and if we did it was about a book that we read. I know that college writing will help me expand my knowledge further in writing. College writing will help me express how I feel without using my voice. Writing in college can be challenging because you are using different technique than you did in high school or anything outside of school. I know that writing will contribute to my learning.
